Imagine young, talented brass players from across the United States converging on one location to work together for a full week to learn the essentials of musicianship and motivation. Inspired by the Axiom Brass, international brass soloists, constructive classes, and unforgettable performances, students achieve groundbreaking results in developing an understanding of high musical standards and unlocking their full artistic potential.

The Axiom Brass Summer Seminar provides a life changing opportunity for high school and college students to immerse themselves in an exciting musical environment. Students perform in full brass choirs and chamber groups, experience exciting performances by the Axiom Brass and our international guest artist, and work closely with the Axiom Brass in masterclasses on cutting-edge practice techniques, overcoming performances anxiety, and the power of goal setting. After experiencing all of this, the week culminates in performances for family, friends and community in a concert featuring the participants performing challenging chamber music and large brass choir music.

The 2007 Axiom Brass Seminar, featuring International trumpet soloist Vincent DiMartino was a triumphant success.  During the intensive seven days of seminar, Faculty and Students presented five public concerts.  The Seminar brought together students from ten different states across the nation, representing fifteen high schools, and seven universities.

In 2008 the Axiom Brass Seminar will take place in the beautiful and exciting city of Chicago, IL. Check back soon for more info on dates, guest artists, and how to enroll.
