The award-winning Chicago-based Axiom Brass will open their 10th anniversary season with a program of diverse and virtuosic new music for brass, including two world premieres by Brazilian composer Liduino Pitombeira and famed Chicago composer Augusta Read Thomas - her first ever composition for brass quintet.
